Privacy Policy

SnapTrack · Last updated: June 2026

SnapTrack ("we", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

Account info: if you sign in with Google, your name, email and profile photo. Guests are identified only by an anonymous, hashed device ID — never your raw device identifiers.

Health & profile data you enter: age, gender, height, weight and calorie goals, used to calculate your targets.

Meal data: photos you capture/upload for analysis, and the resulting food items, calories and macros you log.

Usage data: app diagnostics and crash logs to keep the app working.

How we use your data

To analyze meal photos, calculate nutrition, sync your logs across devices, send reminders you enable, and improve reliability.

AI photo processing

Meal photos are sent to AI providers (Google Vertex AI / Gemini, and fallback vision providers) solely to identify food and estimate nutrition. Images are processed in-memory and are not used to identify you.

Storage & third parties

Your account data and logs are stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage). We use Google AdMob to show ads to free users, and Google Play Billing for subscriptions. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

Ads

Free accounts see ads served by Google AdMob, which may use advertising identifiers. Upgrading to a paid plan removes ads.

Account & data deletion (SnapTrack)

How to request deletion of your SnapTrack account and data:

  1. In the app (fastest): open SnapTrack → tap your profile avatar → Delete Account → confirm. Your account and associated data are permanently deleted immediately.
  2. By email: if you cannot access the app, send a deletion request from your account email to contact@teamvesper.com with the subject "Delete my SnapTrack account". We action these requests within 30 days.

What is deleted: your profile (name, biological profile, height/weight, targets), your food and activity logs, uploaded food photos, streak history, reminder settings, and your account identifier (Google email or guest device ID).

What may be retained: anonymized, non-identifiable crash/error diagnostics may be kept for up to 90 days to maintain service reliability; records we are legally required to keep are retained only for the period required by law. None of this retained data identifies you.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Deleting specific data (without deleting your account)

You can remove your data in SnapTrack while keeping your account:

  1. Delete individual entries: in the app, swipe left on any food or activity item in your log and confirm to permanently delete that entry (including its uploaded photo).
  2. Request bulk data deletion: email contact@teamvesper.com from your account email with the subject "Delete my SnapTrack data", specifying which data you want removed (e.g. all food logs, all photos). We action these requests within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted: the specific food/activity logs and uploaded photos you request. What is kept: your account (profile, email/guest ID) and any data you did not ask to remove. Anonymized crash diagnostics may be retained up to 90 days.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
